Maria Castro

Maria stands 5’5” and is a blend of Filipino, Hispanic, and Chinese. She was originally born in the Philippines. She is what we normally call a “military brat,” when her father served our nation, in the Army. She is currently attending IUPUI and majoring in Business. For those of you who follow basketball, George Hill of the San Antonio spurs was the Spur’s first pick from IUPUI (ooey-pooey is what the announcers call it). She is currently in pursuit of a modeling career, and plans to use it as a launch pad for other business ventures. She believes that models from the midwest are overlooked, and most of us don’t know what we’re missing out. Am I glad I found you then. But for clarification purposes, my personal opinion is that models from the midwest aren’t in close proximity to the large modeling agencies and operations found in more coastal and metropolitan areas. New York, California, and Miami have models going there, so they don’t necessarily need to look beyond their geographic location. There’s nothing wrong w/ midwest models at all. Foreign models come from overseas into these big cities and are immediately rewarded, given that they are talented. Anyway, disregard my rant. Here is Maria Castro, uh-oh!

• Who totally rocks your socks?
• I don’t have a specific favorite. I love all types of music. I enjoy listening to Ne-yo, I can relate to almost all of his songs. I also love Lil’ Wayne. [He’s like hip-hop’s rockstar right now.]
• What is/are your current favorite song(s) at the moment?
• Never Ever by Ciara & Turnin Me On by Keri Hilson [took a while for K.Hilson to start catching some love.]
• If you happened to become an overnight celebrity, what would you do with your fame?
• Go shopping! I know celebrities receive free products for them to market the company. [that’s it? you wouldn’t wanna try and meet other famous people? Like Lil Wayne?]
• Places in the world you’ve been to and can’t forget and why
• I love Waikiki Beach! I had such a wonderful time there: good food, fun night clubs, nice beaches, & more!
• What qualities do you find attractive in men, even though you should NOT?
• I love a BIG EGO! I find confidence very attractive. [you heard it from Maria first. Confidence and arrogance are one-and-the-same!]
• What’s the baddest thing you’ve ever done, but didn’t feel bad about?

• Do you party? If so, where?
• I LOVE to party! Miami has a GREAT nightlife. But I don’t go out as much as I used to. I’ll go out once in a while. I enjoy spending time with that special someone. [I thought you resided in the midwest?]
• We know you wrock what you wear, what is/are your favorite brands/labels that others may have never heard about?
• I love the brand “Sky.” I’m all about the Glitz and Glam. You can find Sky at Saks or clothing boutiques. [must make you look through-the-roof sky-high sexy then, ay?]
• We’re officially in a recession right now. How has it affected you? Or how hasn’t it?
• I’m still a student in college, and with the recession, tuition has gone up. [that bites. but it’s nice to know that you don’t think about it on a daily basis, cuz it’s one of those things you just can’t ever feel guilty about throwing your money at.]

• Paul Ellison, I’ve worked with him since 2005 and he knows how to capture my best features. I just started working with Miles Fork, he is a guru when it comes to graphic designs. [oh no doubt. You’ve also got a world to explore. I’ve seen some amazing stuff in my time.]

• My SON…. yes, I have a son. His name is Tristan and he is almost 6 months old. He is my world, my everything, & my life. It’s amazing how someone so little can bring me so much joy. “Mommy loves you baby!” [must be a cute little feller. Nice of you to share that with us. Can I pinch his cheeks?]
