Bruno Talledo - Las Vegas Photographer
See and you shall believe. This self-taught photographer denies luck, but has a bit of Midas touch.
I’m 36, half italian half Peruvian, born in Peru and came to the US when I was 6, studied music and art all of my life. Began shooting around 1998.
FULLY FEATURED HERE (more pictures)
- A little Q & A with Bruno
- You’re based out of Las Vegas, how did you come to move from Arcadia to the city of sin? From my memory, I recall Arcadia being quite an area of affluence in Southern California.
- well i lived in arcadia until i finished high school…then i moved all over LA…vegas just seemed very convenient to me and i’m a night person so it works out perfectly!
- What did you dream of growing up to be as a kid?
- a dentist? wtf was i thinking…lol
- Had any odd jobs prior to becoming a photographer?
- never any “odd” jobs…but i’ve always done music, songwriting and producing, i have a degree in audio/video production and in LA i had a huge recording studio that i used to run…and somehow i got sidetracked into photography…i blame the model gfs lol
- You say you’re a hardcore foodie, and I’ve definitely noticed the crazy array of sushi dishes on your page. How did this come to be?
- food has always been a passion…eating and cooking it…lots of restaurants/chefs in my family so i guess it’s in the blood! lol
- If I were to come down to Vegas for a weekend. Give me one spot that I must try on the cheap end, and one spot I must try on the high end.
- best REAL japanese food, Ichiza…and not expensive
best High End sushi i’ve had here is Okada at Wynn - Aside from photographing beautiful women, what other things are you absolutely passionate about?
- Music, Food, Art, Cars…and food…did i mention food? lol
- What was the lure of photography for you?
- I needed a break from music and it seemed easy for me since i had already studied art…plus the pay isn’t bad either
- Do you have any type of formal training?
- nope…just started shooting…nobody ever showed me 1 thing or took a class at all…
- What is your most prized piece of equipment?
- my hands =) lol
- What’s the most painstaking part of your job?
- Retouching…apparently i’m really good at it…but i hate it haha
- What is the most daring or experimental shoot that you’ve ever done that turned out great in your eyes? (got a link?)
- the picture you already have up…black and white…with the girl licking the leg…umm…that wasn’t staged lol
- Who is the one model you enjoy working with most, and why? (be honest and choose only one)
- Nani Nicole…we have the best chemistry and she’s one of my best friends…and super hot…plus we always get drunk at the shoot so that’s fun lol
- For most people, being a photographer affords you the opportunity to be very close to models, but have you had any encounters/experiences you mind sharing with us that would never have happened if not for this type of networking? (whatever you feel comfortable speaking about)
- well i have a bunch of exs that model…so maybe it’s NOT a good thing haha
- Does this line of work afford you the glamorous lifestyle you often depict?
- but i suppose so…i get lots of free stuff, free trips, comp’d bottles and dinners, plus i have several other projects i’m working on including music and a new magazine i’m coming out with… www.houseofperfection.com which will launch by the end of the year right now it’s in “beta’ stage
- Whose work do you enjoy most outside of your own?
- i think this guy is DOPE! i also do automotive and i really love this guy’s work www.eastonchang.com
- Why should models choose you for a shoot?
- because i’m the best! my shots are consistently good and not a “lucky” shot like some of the people i’ve seen…plus i’m lots of fun to work with and always down to try new ideas to get the best image
