• A little Q&A with Tiana
  
  
• Your listed residence is Huntington Beach, California. Were you born and raised there?
• Yup born at Fountain Valley hospital and raised in Huntington beach.


• Anything particularly special about that place that outsiders normally wouldn’t know?
• Huntington Beach is such a wonderful city, it really is. We have a beautiful beach and a pretty cool down town. its relaxed here and not too preppy like some of our neighboring cities (newport/laguna!) hahah just kidding


• Your Myspace lists Yamanashi, Japan. Is that a place you’ve spent some time growing up in? If so, do you miss it at all?
• haha no no gosh I’ve had my myspace for so long, i just put that up for fun I like to mess around with online stuff. I have never been to Japan but it is my number one place on my list of places to go.


• What is your heritage? Do you closely identify with it?
• My father is full Japanese, and my mother is half Spanish, part German and a little bit of American Indian and Irish. I love that I’m so mixed and I feel very blessed to have such a diverse background, it makes learning about your heritage way more interesting. Japanese culture has always been a huge interest for me, from the way they dress,to the food they eat, to the customs they have, everything about Japan excites me! The Spanish side is pretty cool as well and the German is funny because I don’t look German at all but my grandmother had blue eyes and blond hair!


• So, why the name Tiana Piranha? Do you bite?
• hahha oh gesse, it just rhymes and somehow it just stuck so i kept it. I don’t like to let out a ton of personal information for sites so i just use Piranha, I thought it was kinda funny and people ask all the time if that is really my last name haha.


• What type of girl were you in high school?
• Well i guess i was a pretty typical high school girl, I chased boys and drove around in my moms car and got in all sorts of mischief, but I never got in any serious trouble.


• Modeling aside, what is it that you do to pay the bills?
• I work for a plastic surgeon part time and I go to school.


• Are you pursuing any type of a college degree right now? If so, what?
• I go to Santa Ana College, and I love it there. I’m studying occupational therapy and I’m very excited about it!


• What is absolutely one thing you must achieve before you’re 25?
• Well I hope to be done with school and travel more, buuuutt who knows i mean I’m in no big rush and like they say, “there’s no time like the present” I try to embrace that and live in the now.


• How did you get your start in modeling? Were you discovered? Or was it on your own accord?
• The only reason I ever wanted any part in modeling is because of my big sister. I don’t even think she knows that! When I was around 17 years old is when i started to really get interested in modeling and started shooting.


• What do you hope to gain from modeling? Or is it about the exhibitionist in you?
• The only thing I want from modeling is the feeling of creation…….and maybe a few pay checks haha. To create something beautiful, edgy, gloomy, emotional, sexy, unique, or just something simple. I am really very proud of the work I’ve done and hope to only continue to push forward with it. I do this for myself and it makes me happy when other people find inspiration from my work.


• Do you remember what you wanted to become when you were growing up as a kid?
• haha of course, A model! Thats all I ever wanted as a little girl, well, that and to be a princess hahah a girl can dream right?!


• One of your favorite shows is Iron Chef. Do you play with the iron in your own home to cook up any delicious food?
• hahahha well I’ve never used an iron to cook with before hhaha but that sounds pretty fun. I do love to cook tho, its one of my most favorite things to do! Its another creative outlet for me. I like to cook with fresh local and exotic ingredient. I like to keep it fairly light and fresh with big salads and fish.


• Name your favorite restaurant and what your favorite dish is.
• My number one favorite restaurant is Gjelina on Abbot Kinny Blvd in Venice. The vibe is relaxed yet sophisticated and my favorite dish there is the Beat Salad. I never liked beats until i tried this and now I’m hooked! * Do you watch any sports? If so, do you have a favorite team and/or player? LLLAAAAAKKKKKKKEEERRRRSSS!!!! thats all i have to say about that. :) Go KOBE!!!


• Free time. What do you do with it? What’re some of your favorite hobbies?
• I love to hang out with my girl friends, im very lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. We go to starbucks, we go to the beach, we go hiking, we go shopping, we can do anything and as long as we are all together we have a good time. I also really enjoy spending time with my niece and nephew, they really crack me up and I am very excited because my brother is expecting his first baby this year!!! Aside from family and friends I like to garden and be outside where the sunshine is!


• Who and what inspires you?
• I find inspiration in so many things. Everyday people inspire me, when i see someone displaying kindness to the less fortunate or the joy that kids express with just their smiles. I can find inspiration in all of God’s beautiful gifts, sometimes you just have to open your eyes and see what is right in front of you. People who inspire me are of course my family and friends, each and everyone of them is powerful and courageous in their own ways. Anyone who dares to follow their dreams and has a passion for what they do inspire me.


• Who influences your style in particular? Is there anybody you’ve particularly idolized?
• I really love Kate Moss, shes just such a bad ass. I love her style and the boldness she carries with her. I also really love Cindy Crawford she is just a classic.


• Genres of music you listen to and gimme a song you can’t stop wrockin’ to right now.
• I really love all kinds of music. I love rap music haha. i like 2pac, BG, lil wayne, the game, T.I and a ton more. I listen to rap when I’m working out, but when i go out i like stuff like Cocorosie, Jose Gonzalez, Muse, Death Cab for Cutie, Portishead, Sigur Ros, La Roux, The Gorillaz, The Cure, Stones, and of course Spice Girls. I cant seem to stop singing Usher OMG haha it just has a great beat to it, oh and 2pac baby don’t cry.


• What’s your take on porn?
• Well, it’s a huge industry and i think to each their own. Who am I to say what is wrong and right in this world? I cant judge people if I don’t look at myself first. I don’t have any real interest in that field of work but it sure is sassy!


• What or who absolutely removes your inhibitions? Explain if possible. Love.
• You cant help it, weather you want to or not, love is powerful.


• How do you like your men dressed?
• I like it when guys have a little scruff on their face so not completely cleaned up but not disgustingly dirty. I like men to dress in whatever makes them feel confident. Although I do like it when a man has style and can dress up with me.


• What qualities do you find attractive in men, even though you should NOT?
• Maybe darkness, someone who’s seen their share of stormy weather. But i mean common who doesn’t like a bad boy?


• Leather or lace?
• I’ll have to go with Lace.


• In command, or being commanded?
• a good balance of both :)
