Ann HoMountain View, California A little more subtle. I love beautiful photography. Ann is a beautiful makeup-artist from Northern California. She also owns her own swimwear line. HOT! I asked, and she answered. Your listed residence is Mountain View, California and it appears you grew up in Los Altos. Is there anything particular about the Silicon Valley that appeals to you? How would do you get friends to come out to visit you instead of you having to make trips to either SF or SJ? I love the Bay Area and can not see myself living anywhere else. It is very diverse. I love the cilture. What is your heritage Ann? How much do you identify with it? I’m vietnamese. I totally identify myself with it. :) What kinda girl were you in high-school? OMG, do i have to answer this? I was very thin and lanky. I wasn’t the most popluar girl in school. I didn’t fit in with any crowd. Very sad. You love hair and makeup. How did you turn that into a career? Yes, i love hair and makeup. I graduated with a fashion degree so i figured fashion and makeup is a good combination. I also did modeling and figured it will help me to know how to do makeup. So, i went to makeup school and then helped out with some fashion shows. Realized i had a talent for it and took it from there. What does your currently lifestyle afford you, that you probably couldn’t be doing in an office job? It gives me alot of time to do the things i want. I work mostly on weekends and have my weekdays off. I can never see myself doing a 9-5 job. Share with us one of your favorite moments or experiences with doing MUA work. My experiences with my work has been great. I meet so many great people and become such great friends. It’s always so much fun so every experience i’ve had, whether big or small, they’ve all been so great. :) FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising), what did you study there? (I ask because I’m a product developer. SF campus represent!) I went to FIDM for fashion design. You also have your own swimwear line, PinkStar, how did that come to inception and why swimwear? I originally wanted to design lingerie, but it would of been to complicated to have them produced. I also love swimwear and so when the opportunity came along i jumped on board. Does the recession affect your industries (both MUA work and swimwear) significantly? Actually, the recession does not really affect my business. I thought it would, but i have noticed that each year i am in this business, it gets bigger and better. People are still getting married. Which is a very good sign. ;) Free time. What do you do with it? I don’t have much free time. When i do have free time, it is usually on a weekday and all my friends are at work. I try to find friends that can hang out with me on a weekday. We would have dinner and have a drink or two. Otherwise, i would be at the mall or reading fashion magazines. Who influences your style in particular? Is there anybody you’ve particularly idolized? I don’t have anyone that i idolized or has an influence on me. I do what i think looks best. Gimme a song you can’t stop wrockin’ to right now. I have been liking “Empire State of Mind” What’s your take on porn? I am pretty conservative. Porn is not my thing. What brings out the wild side in you? There’s a wild side to me? Didn’t know that. lol…. Maybe when i have been drinking. How do you like your men dressed? (Suits and ties? Rugged? Street/urban?) I like the rugged look, but on sometimes getting dressed up is nice too. What qualities do you find attractive in men, even though you should NOT? I’m typically am attracted to the nice guys. The ones that are school boys, don’t get themselves into trouble. The ones that would treat a lady right. So, there’s really nothing NOT to like about them. Every girl has a dream man, but in your past what have you been known to gravitate toward and/or have dated? I’ve always dated the sweet guys, so i don’t know any difference. Leather or lace?
