Cara Skye
Denver, Colorado
19 . 5’2” . Japanese & Filipino. Hooters Girl . HIN . Go-go Dancer
I can’t touch the sky, but I’m Skye high off this beauty from the the land of the Rocky mountain high. I’m sure many of us are fond of this place thanks to the Coors commercials. She considers herself to be artsy, and expresses it through drawings and paintings. She admits to coming off as a bitch, but (yea, there’s always a but) opens up easily, if you open up to her. Red, black, white, purple, and grey are her revered “hues.” For those that don’t know what a hue is, it’s really the more technical term for “color,” often taught in color theory—girl knows what she’s talkin’ about. Although Cara doesn’t own her own motorcycle, riding is about the adrenaline rush from going fast, the thrill of the lean put into the curves, the danger that’s exciting, and the sexiness about it. One phrase: NOT YA AVERAGE CHICK!

- I asked, and she answered.
- When was the last time somebody called you angel? Why?
- Haha honestly I don’t think angel and my name have ever gone in a sentence together :P
- When was the last time somebody called you a “badass?” Why?
- The last time I was called badass was at a club! I gogo dance and a lot of crowd was really into my moves, so I was personally being approached and called that all night. I loved it!
- So, you reside out in Denver, Colorado, but were you born and raised out there?
- I was actually born and raised in the Philippines. I was born in Manila and moved with my military step-dad when I turned 7. Been living here since then!
- I’m a snowboarder when winter comes around, I’ve heard great things about Colorado’s snow, are you a participant? If so, how long?
- Colorado is definately known for our wonderful snow :] But I actually hate it! I’ve come to like cold weather but i’m not a big fan. And i’m embarrassed to admit to everyone that asks me about snow sports but i’ve actually never skiied or snowboarded in my whole life. I do plan on it soon! Haha
- Denver is also known as the mile high city, do you notice the difference in the air once you travel elsewhere?
- Yes, definately. Once I land somewhere in a lower altitude I have a faster, smoother pace of breathing and in Denver its a little heavier. Some people actually get nose bleeds! I’m pretty used to it now but I hate how my lotions and bottled stuff basically explodes once I open it. All the air pressure pushes everything out and it’s a waste!
- It’s rare to find a girl that rides a motorcycle, and even rarer for somebody under 21, did you have to convince anybody to get your license and bike? What kinda bike do you have?
- Haha! I actually don’t have a bike but I do plan on it! I was always into the sexy look of bikes but never actually into riding. When I was in San Jose my friend picked me up in one on a Sunday and I guess Sundays are gathering days to go riding in groups. So I got changed and we hit Highway 9. I’ve loved it ever since. It’s one of the most amazing adrenaline rushes i’ve ever felt! Oh and i’d like the typical ducati or zoom on that Yamaha R1 ;]
- You say you come off strongly as a bitch, do you know why? Is it the way you position yourself around others? Maybe what you say?
- Well I dress up everywhere I go so I look like a little snob but I actually just love dressing up for myself. I guess just in general pretty girls are assumed to be bitches for having reputations of being conceited and full of themselves. I promise you that’s not me! I’m actually really bubbly and funny! I don’t say much since I can’t prove to everyone in the world otherwise. So I just smile and keep to myself! I’m easy to talk to so if approached we can easily make conversation.
- I can see why people would assume you’re Vietnamese, but anyway you’re also a unique blend of Japanese and Filipino. Do you speak either language or particularly relate more to either culture?
- I was born in the Philippines so I was surrounded by Filipino culture. I can very well understand it but my speaking is a little broken. My mom didn’t speak is as often since my step-father was American and considered it disrespectful. Such a waste though! I was real in touch with my culture and language I need to cath up on it! And as for my Japanese I dont know much really. My mom’s full Filipino but can speak it fluently, she’s too lazy to teach me!
- As a little kid growing up, what did you want to be when you grew up?
- Growing up i’ve always been interested into the typical dreams of being a nurse or doctor. But ultimately my true dreams were being a performer. I wanted to sing and dance. So as I grew older relatives and friends in the Philippines thought I had some good potential and tried to convince my mom to take me to Filipino talent auditions on tv and get me into singing and dancing. My mom thought it was a nice idea but never really took any action into it. Then when we moved to America I was offered to do pageants which is where my interest in modeling started, but my mom said it was a waste of time and money. I would still like to do something in the medical field, but i’m hoping to pursue my modeling and dancing career further.
- What is it about modeling that attracts you in particular?
- I know for a lot of women, it appears to be glamorous, in addition to the traveling… Modeling is very glamorous, and traveling is always fun. But not everything about modeling is always glamorous. You have to manage your body and its crazy competition. I’m very social and I love meeting new people and I consider all the non-glamorous parts as a challenge. I love taking pictures and trying new things. The expression of your body is a beautiful thing.
- You’re definitely younger than most of the girls and women I normally feature, but I know a lot can change in the next few years and in the long haul, so what ultimately would you want to be or do once you’re hitting your late 20’s?
- Most women that are featured usually have more experience meaning they started young as well! I’m bringing my way up as much as I can on my own, it’s a little hard when i’m not in an area where its widely popular and has noise. As I hit my late 20’s i’d like to have been on a magazine cover and traveled internationally.
- Who influences your style in particular? Is there anybody you’ve particularly idolized?
- Umm not really i’ll see things on the streets and see things people wear that i’ve never seen and nit pick. But i’ve never really had an influenced style or follow trends. I’m always into crazy heels and I like accessorizing with purses. I usually just take my time to shop around, pick out whats suitable for me then put together an outfit. I never really go crazy in one store and keep a pretty diverse wardrobe.
- Are you currently single?
- Yes I am, but I don’t consider myself available, sorry guys!
- Have you ever dated out of your ethnic/racial background? Does it matter? If not, would you?
- Yes I have. I feel that if you restrict your mind into only dating your own race you tend to go into a racial mindset, unless your really just not attratced outside of your race. It’s nice for the experience and should be open to different people and cultures.
- What qualities do you find attractive in men, even though you should NOT?
- I like aggressive guys, so I sometimes find assholes attractive. Also, I love the smell of cigarette smoke combined with a kickass cologne on their skin, but I hate smokers! The smell of alcohol in their breath, WITHOUT the smell of their own breath, haha does that make sense? And i’m not into heavy drinkers.
- Now what are the qualities you don’t find attractive in men, even though you SHOULD?
- I don’t really like guys that are intensely nice and attentive and I need to! Like when guys hold my back everywhere I go like i’m gonna tumble and fall. Call my weird things like “princess.” I find it creepy when a guy is too nice and can’t mess up my hair, it’s too boring. Prim and proper is unattractive to me when i’m better off with that kind of guy.
- Every girl has a dream man, but in your past what have you been known to gravitate toward?
- ASSHOLES. LOL can I say assholes? But yeah I was known for being into pricks. Guys with harsh humor, slightly sweet, and just a plain ass. But I have been working on avoiding that lately :] [I hope you guys see an ongoing theme here…]
- Leather or lace?
- Lace.
- In command, or being commanded?
- I like being in command then being commanded. [freak-a-leak!]
- Top, bottom, or doggy?
- All of the above haha! [never t.m.i.]
- Cara asks: Did my interview ‘Wrock?’ lolll
- Oh no doubt, this is probably the most extensive interview I’ve done, because I was really intrigued.
